The Majestic 2nd Annual Undergrad Juried Competition, on view February 28–March 22, is organized by the Majestic Galleries, and is open to all undergraduate Ohio artists over 18 years old working in the United States and Canada.
This year’s juror is Chaz O’Neil, Museum & Galleries Assistant & Collections Registrar of Otterbein University and Assistant Director of the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Division.
Awards: Prizes include solo shows for 1st, 2nd, 3rd , and 4th place winners to take place August 28—September 20, 2020.
Eligibility: The competition is open to undergrad Ohio artists over 18 years old and working in the United States and Canada. Submit work produced in the last 3 years. All media are accepted, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, textiles, new media, installation and video. Specialized equipment to hang, display or project work must be provided by artist.
Entry Fee: There is a non-refundable entry fee of $20 for up to 3 works per artist. $5 for each additional work.

Submission Requirements: Images should be formatted at 300 dpi, jpeg, with longest side at 1200 pixels. One image for 2D work, 3D work may submit 2 per piece. Video submissions should be through a website URL. Images should be labeled with artists’ first initial, last name, entry number, title, dimensions and media. Submit images via email with a list of titles and entry numbers, insurance and sale prices. Include artist phone number. Email submissions to majesticgalleries@gmail.com
 
Submission materials will not be returned. Notification will be made by email only. Submissions and fees must be received by entry deadline to qualify.
Insurance: Majestic Galleries will take all care in handling artwork. All work will be insured while on display in the galleries. Majestic Galleries is not responsible for insurance while work is in transit to and from the Galleries.
 
Delivery: Work may be hand delivered to the gallery during operating hours or to Starbrick Gallery, 21 West Columbus St. Nelsonville, Ohio. Work can also be shipped to the Starbrick Gallery. Shipped work should be in a returnable package with pre-paid return shipping label included. Work should be gallery-ready. NO GLASS or SAWTOOTH HANGERS. Specialized hanging equipment must be provided by artist with detailed instructions. Artists may be asked to install complicated work.
 
Sales: There is a 40% commission on all sold work, price work accordingly.
Rules: 1. All work must remain up for duration of the show. 2. Gallery reserves the right to photograph or use submission images for promotions and publicity for this and future exhibitions. 3. We reserve the right to reject work not represented in submission images. 4. Work not picked up by deadline becomes property of the gallery and we are no longer responsible for loss or damage. 5. Payment signifies acceptance of all terms and conditions.
