Calling artists who recycle, repurpose and reuse to submit to the second annual upcycled art exhibition: “Reclaimed,” at Majestic Galleries in Nelsonville, OH. This exhibition contributes to the growing dialogue on sustainability and the importance of repurposing.  

 

Artists are encouraged to submit pieces that transform reclaimed materials into works of art. We are looking for artists who make eco-conscious art, question the environmental impact of their artistic process, and explore the theme of sustainability through their upcycled art. All 2D, 3D and 4D artwork is permitted. Open to artists 18 and over, nationally, who repurpose and reimagine recycled, reclaimed, and reused materials.

Submission Guidelines: 

Submit the entry form using the "Apply Now" button along with submitting your application fee using the "Pay Now" button. Submission fee is $10, free for Members of Majestic Galleries. Submission fee permits artists to submit up to 3 pieces for consideration.

All 3D works that require presentation other than standard pedestals must include those items with the works. Works that require special installation must come with clear instructions. Any works that require complicated specialized installation must be installed by the artist. All work must be hanging/presentation ready. We reserve the right to reject work for the exhibition that differs significantly from the submitted images and/ or for craft issues.

Incomplete submissions will not be considered.  

Majestic Galleries retains a 40% commission on all sales.

• Artwork Delivery: on or before June 30th, 2024 

• Exhibition on View: July 5th - 28th, 2024 

• Opening Reception: July 5th, 2024, 5-8pm

Accepted artwork must be derived to Majestic Galleries by Sunday, June 30th, 2024.

If invited to exhibit, the artist is responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery. Packing instructions required. Include installation instructions and material required for installation (if applicable).

Hand Delivered Artwork:

Bring your work to the gallery when we are open Friday – Sunday (June 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, and 30) from

12 – 5 pm or arranged time.

Shipped Artwork:

 

Must arrive no later than June 30th, 2024. Artists are responsible for covering the cost of shipping to and from the gallery. Include a return shipping label, packing instructions and installation directions.

Do not ship to the galleries physical address as we are not able to receive packages Monday - Thursday.
